A New Blog Series: WHAT MY HUSBAND THINKS……
I have known my wife for 7 strong years, almost 3 as a married couple. Her birthday was 2 days ago. Mother’s day is May 10th. Our Wedding anniversary is May 12th. It really is a brutal time of gift giving for me as a husband; it’s Christmas time for her of course. In the span of 8-10 days every year for the rest of my life, I have to nail gift giving or remotely die a terrible death. Liz has been asking me to blog for her for the past year or so, and pretty much every time I have respectfully declined. But this year on the first gift of 3 to come to her, I lacked innovation (I know, I still have 2 more gifts to go). Therefore, I have given in and will open up my blogging skills to her network. She thinks it will be “cool.” We’ll see after a couple of posts. Wish me luck. I figured I would start with something light before I unleash my deeper thoughts to the world.
12 Reasons Why I Married Liz Even Though She Can’t Cook.
- She does laundry like a boss.
- She does dishes like a boss.
- She is independent- emotionally and financially.
- She supports my golf addiction. I play a lot of golf. A lot.
- She doesn’t tell me to shave or get a haircut. Ever.
- She does yoga.
- She doesn’t make me work out; she just makes hints that I should sometimes. But I don’t. Work in progress of course. I have a free weight set to prove it.
- She lets me drink beer without complaint. No dark liquors though. That’s a story for another time I guess.
- She’s an awesome mother to Gracie.
- She understands what it means to GRIND. Her motivation is unmatched.
- I know she loves me unconditionally. And she doesn’t even have to say it to let me know.
And Finally…
- She bought me a kegerator. And she lets me keep it in the kitchen. And is always challenging me to keep it full. I’m Serious. It’s empty right now and she’s not happy about it. I love her.
I’d say those are 12 solid reasons for a stable marriage.
Until next time… Peace and Carpe Diem!
