Marieke & Peter are high school sweethearts who celebrated their marriage at the Boathouse at Rocketts Landing in Richmond. I love the opportunity to photograph a wedding at a venue outside of Hampton Roads every once in a while and this venue is gorgeous and so different. The Boathouse has a cool industrial vibe. I love that it also has plenty of outdoor ceremony space with views of the James River.

My favorite thing about Marieke & Peter’s beautiful wedding was how close and connected their families are. Marieke wore Peter’s grandmother’s 50th anniversary ring and bracelet.  The couple met in middle school and Marieke is best friends with Peter’s twin sister who was in the bridal party, which was SUCH a great group!  These two families have known each other a long time and it shows! We had such a great time!
