Hi everyone!  I have not done a personal post in what seems like FOREVER!!!   I didn’t book as many sessions in January/February either because I really needed to get caught up on some other business stuff and get my workflow ironed out.  I have been kinda behind the scenes but still super busy!!!    I figured I could do a quick blog post about some of the exciting stuff going on at Elizabeth Henson Photos, and also just share a little bit of my crazy wonderful life 🙂   This post is all over the place, sorry in advance lol, just so much to share!

I don’t even know where to start!   So I finally launched my real website!    www.elizabethhensonphotos.com   Before that I had a makeshift website, which still had a lot of my art stuff on it, that was not really geared enough towards my photography business….so this new one was long over due!!!     Well…. done for the moment that is, I already have a list of stuff I want to add or update lol.   But I’m happy to just have it finally up and working.   I wanted to keep it really simple but also true to my style.   I guess I’m sticking with this yellow and green stuff for now lol…. I can’t help it, I love those colors!

I have also been researching hours upon hours what lens to purchase next.    As some of you know I’m shooting/helping shoot a wedding in March…. HOLY COW so exciting/freaking out/grateful/this is the most important thing ever/ all these feelings at the same time!  haha.    So I have been making sure that I am as prepared for that as I possibly can.    Now let me preface that that normally I would never take on a wedding this early in the game.  But this is my most perfect first wedding couple EVER!!    They are the first couple I ever shot!!!   I did their engagements a while back you can see that post here http://elizabethhensonphotos.wordpress.com/2012/11/18/anna-and-james/ .  So I already know that they will be my perfect match, and they know what they are getting, and they know that my experience might be minimal but I’m going to work my tail off for them.   I’ll rent whatever equip I don’t have, and I’ll be ready!   I’m so INCREDIBLY grateful for the opportunity.    Anna is going to be SO beautiful!!!!!

On that note, my lens purchase is happening soon, ahhhhhh so freaking exciting!    My wish list is long, but I think I have narrowed it down.   I’ll be sure to post some of my practice when that time comes.    I’m not even telling which one I’m getting yet…. because I keep changing my mind lol.

Oh, I also wanted to share this amazing gift that one of my clients gave me!!  Monica made me these adorable beautiful coasters!   I LOVE them!  She is so creative and the craftsmanship is amazing, I’m so impressed!   And that was soooooo sweet of her to do that for me.   I have amazing clients and friends that have supported me with kind words, and gestures like this!      I can’t be more thankful.

Oh and that brings me to Stella & Dot!  Lindsay has been showering me with gifts too, my little jewelry rep that she is!    We are in the process of planning an amazing event for March 10th, so mark you calendars ladies!!!!   If you want some pretty pics like Erica and Lindsay had (see that post here http://elizabethhensonphotos.wordpress.com/2013/01/27/stella-dot-part-2/)   then you need to make sure you save that date!    You could be next!!!!    It is going to be so fun!  All I need to say now is:   girl time, mimosas, jewelry, accessories, prizes, discounts, and possible photo ops!!!    March 10th!  Save the date!   More coming soon!

Oh my gosh, my husband and I have also been house shopping!   So exciting but stressful at the same time.   No offers yet, we are taking our time and enjoying our last months that we have on shore drive.    So far our first year of marriage is pretty awesome.   I’m a lucky gal to have such a supportive other half.    He puts up with me having my face in the computer all the time editing, researching, learning, etc.    Here’s a pic of us by my favorite Amanda Hedgepeth Photography.   Awe I love him and I LOVE YELLOW!!!  hehehehe

So while I have not been doing as many personal blogs I have been a busy busy girl.    School has been good, 2 out of my 3 seniors on the hockey team signed on national signing day.  That was awesome!    I’m so proud of them.   I finished a 21 day cleanse of ALL natural and organic food, I lost 13 lbs doing that, and learned some amazing foods that I actually enjoy… like beets!   so crazy right!?     It forced me to cook and prepare all 3 meals for 21 days, yes that was crazy hard for my busy self!!!   But it was SOOOOOO worth it!   Thanks to my friend Tambre for helping me with that.   Message me if you want her info 🙂
