The cutest DIY Wedding at Mimosa Farm, Cheriton Eastern Shore Virginia

Leslie & Michael are so great!  This wedding and it’s DIY details are going to blow y’all away!!   These high school sweethearts have such a unique style and made their wedding TOTALLY unique!   Leslie’s dress was sewn by her sweet mother!  It was so beautiful.   A 100% DIY dress!  The invitations were made by Leslie’s Aunt with the help of Leslie’s design and Michael’s parents helped with the Chinese lettering.  They are so beautiful.   They bought the florals and made the bouquets themselves too.  Leslie wrote all the calligraphy on the table cards with a fun quote on the inside too.   Oh, and they had an iPad Photo Booth!  A special app turns your iPad into a sweet Photo Booth!  Being the techy nerd that I am, I was obsessed!   All the vases and decor were perfectly mis-matched with some elements from her bridal shower incorporated as well.  Oh, and there were selfie sticks on the tables!  seriously?   Best time ever!

Leslie’s bridesmaids surprised her with adorable robes (so cute); and Leslie surprised them each with a book that was hand-picked for each girl.   Everyone was so kind, I’m not sure I have ever felt more comfortable around a crowd I never met.

They had the sweetest 1st look!   When you see the pictures it looks like their perfect cuddles might have been staged…. but I promise they got in all those adorable genuine poses all on their own.  I put on my long lens and just captured from afar.   It was hard not to cry they were so sweet!  But don’t worry, they ended it with a high-five.

The ceremony was also unique.  Michael & Leslie walked themselves (as a couple) down the aisle which was so intimate and sweet!  I have never seen that before and I have to say it was awesome.  Then they gave their parents a special rose before they said their vows.   The wedding rings were passed around the crowed so that all the guests could personally bless the marriage and the rings.

There was Pie for dessert and a special cake all the way from Maryland.  Let me tell you it was AMAZING.   Congrats Leslie & Michael I had the best time and I’m so honored to be your wedding photographer!
