Yay y’all!!!!  The Small Business Series is back!!!!    I have to give a little credit to my husband because he really gave me a pep talk to get back into these.  I truly love doing it, and I needed needed him telling me to step up to the plate… that it DOES matter!

I’m so excited to share with you Amanda from Pretty n Preppy Designs!  Amanda and I have a few things besides creativity in common, she was also a teacher previously.  She LOVES teaching and has some pretty serious plans to go back one day.  Right now she is busy raising her children and also watches her friends kids during the day.   Let me tell you this chick has FOUR carseats in her minivan…. FOUR!  I took one look and said “how do you get them all in there and then actually go somewhere?”  haha.   I’m amazed, and impressed, and she has all the good mama juju that I sure wish I had!   Just going to the grocery store with Gracie terrifies me some days.

So Amanda has an adorable and successful Etsy Shop where she creates custom vinyl decals, personalized for any occasion.  She has a big niche for the wedding industry and that is where a lot of her big ideas began.   Her doors opened in September 2013 and has continued to grow over the years.   I was very impressed with Amanda’s commitment to her products and customers.  She truly wants them to have quality items that will last.   Amanda raved about her favorite customers that come back time and time again and I know she is building a pretty nice network of local customers here in Virginia Beach as well.

I’m in love with this cup that she made for me!  She showed up with it to our meeting, and I just couldn’t get over how sweet she is to do that.  I have enjoyed it every day since.   A major characteristic that stuck with me is Amanda’s loyalty.  She’s incredibly loyal to her family, friends, and her customers.   She believes in paying it forward and I know this mama is in business for all the right reasons.   I really enjoyed our time together and I can’t wait to tell my future brides all about her adorable goodies!
