So when I launched my small business series which comes out the 2nd Wednesday of every month I was not originally going to feature other photographers for a while.   I wanted to get my feet wet getting out there and meeting new businesses and finding inspiring owners.    Well this time around this just felt right.    And if you know me I’m always following my heart, and trusting when my gut tells me to do something.

I want to tell you a little bit about Erin from Erin Daniel Photography.

Erin is a mother of THREE, a Navy wife, and a very hard-working woman.    Erin is my friend.    This industry can break you down if you let it, and we have been there for each other over the years, we started at almost the exact same time.   We didn’t compete, we bonded and helped each other.    Erin’s family is amazing, when I shot their family pictures this year, her son opened doors for me…. all three kids said please and thank you…. I mean seriously, this woman is doing it right.    She sacrifices herself to take her kids to all the crazy things they do, dance, football, etc.        That is exactly how it should be.  Now she is even home schooling her youngest!    Her new lens can wait if it means those kids get to do these things that are going to make them better people.    It brings tears to my eyes because I know how much that means.    I’m so proud of her, and I have always looked up to her and how she raises her children.

Here is the next thing…. Erin’s work is amazing, her new style is breathtaking.    I have been telling her for months that her growth spurt is coming….I know it is!!!  Her style is seriously unique and beautiful.   The seniors that want this type of portrait session, they are out there…..    Erin does hair and make up too…. (and is amazing at it, she did my make up for my wedding!).   So she has found a way to also incorporate that into her photography business.    Oh if only I could even braid my own hair lol!!
