The best way to be different

Social media makes it so easy to find inspiration, yet so hard to find our own way.   All of the current trends constantly in our faces, people who are succeeding in a way that looks so effortless…. sometimes the struggle to stand out or be different is like a never-ending black hole.   Everyone struggles with this, and if they say they don’t then they are lying.

I’m not sure if I’m “different” or if I just seem like everyone else.   But I do know that when I allow myself time to THINK without looking to others for inspiration that is when I come up with new ideas that seem different….to me at least.       Last week at Creative Connections I shared 2 networking tips that really helped my business grow.   Both tips that I found to be very outside the box….. ALL because I had time to really think, and feel inspired, by something other than my peers.

So my best piece of advise on the best way to be different is literally to give yourself TIME to think, brainstorm, and soul search your passions.   Inspiration from others is great, but believe it or not, our own brains and hearts are filled with inspiration of our own.  We just have to find it…spend time with our dreams and make those visions reality.

YES I want to be an Entrepreneur Coach for Creative Women…. but I want to be different.   I want to be authentic.   I strive to be REAL and not just the latest trend.   Heck, half the time I don’t even know what is “cool” until it has already come and gone.   I feel like this is a slow dream that evolves as my business evolves.  I want to share my journey of going full-time with others, and I’m ok if they see me fail.   But what they won’t see is me do it like everyone else.

If you want to follow that part of my journey you can sign up for my newsletter… I prefer to share my most intimate Entrepreneur stuff directly with my little community as it grows.   Later in the week I will be re-capping Creative Connections via video and asking my viewers/readers for some input on my next endeavor.
