Courtney & Jason are some of the most adorable high school sweethearts I have ever seen! They were married at the beautiful and beachy East Beach Bayfront Club. It was a pretty rainy Saturday… well let me correct that, a VERY rainy Saturday. There were tornado warnings, pretty much a complete downpour. But guess what? These two are still MARRIED and it was still absolutely beautiful!
Ally of Ally Allison Events was the wedding coordinator, and let me tell you she did an amazing job moving everything inside/outside/all around, making last-minute decisions, getting soaked multiple times. She really kept everything going with a smile the whole time! My kinda girl! I have to say it can get stressful when everyone is looking to you wondering how to save the day!
Portraits were originally planned to be outside, but we quickly made arrangements to shoot them inside to keep everything on schedule. Everyone stayed dry and had a really great time. I was especially impressed with the groomsmen and their willingness to be extra adventurous for their pictures! We had an extremely emotional first look, Courtney burst into tears before she even say Jason’s face….. It was truly romantic, heartfelt, and the rain just didn’t matter at that point. All the stress went out the window because we ALL had a little perspective seeing those two so in love and happy to see each other.
See that is the most amazing thing about weddings and being blessed to work weddings. When you have amazing couples like Courtney and Jason, it is so clear why we are all there. Yes the details were adorable, and we made it work regardless of the weather. But the REAL reason for the day is LOVE. And these two rock their love like there is no tomorrow. It is truly inspiring and I felt lucky to be at their wedding! Running in the rain, stressing, it didn’t matter….. their love is absolutely perfect and absolutely worth it.
