I’m so excited to share the beautiful Mystique Salon & Day Spa! I met the owner, Amy, back in October, she was a big part of our October Styled Shoot. I loved working with Amy…. if you email much these days, then you know there is this thing…. email etiquette. Well, Amy has totally nailed it! I knew I would love her before we even officially met. She is full of gratitude and kindness, even through her online presence. I kept thinking about how her emails and kind words, were always above and beyond, and it hit me that I should totally feature her awesome business on my blog.
After meeting Amy I was really excited to see the salon in person. It was even more beautiful than I imagined. Everything is sleek, clean, and organized. There is a very cozy atmosphere while the salon still appears totally new. I can’t believe that it is already 8 years old! Amy has been rocking her role as business owner for quite some time. I loved hearing her story of opening the salon and her hubby is also a small business owner (A&E Unlimited Automotive). Amy, like many small business owners, had a desk job before opening her shop. She has always had a very good business sense, but it was not until she fell in love with learning about skin, and eventually became an Esthetician, that she opened her doors. Amy spoke to me about her love of making people feel good about themselves….. I could truly feel her passion for helping others.
Mystique offers so many services and Amy has done a great job bringing them all together into one Salon! From hair, to facials, to massage, and even bridal style. Make sure to check out their website to see the awesome services offered!
I also loved how involved Amy’s entire family is in the salon. Her sister Amanda has been involved since day 1, and is the master stylist & lead colorist; and they have family members that have been working at the salon over the years. It is obvious that the support system is extremely vast and strong.
Mystique is very involved in the community. They are actively involved in The Cody Childers Memorial Fund. Amy’s father was in the military for 25 years, so she is incredibly supportive of the military community in Hampton roads as well as our education system; Mystique offers very affordable rates for prom and ring dance. Amy is always on board of for helping others and very generously donated her time to help us with our shoot. I’m so grateful that I met her and I look forward to working with her again.
Oh and Amy did this painting herself! She’s so creative and talented!
