I had such a great time photographing Kate & Tyler’s Signature at Westneck wedding this past weekend! As you may already know, before I was a wedding photographer, I was a field hockey coach and art teacher. I have been so lucky to be able to photograph the weddings of some of my former field hockey players, including Kate. I love getting to work with them again and play a small part in their special day! These weddings are just so special!
Kate & Tyler began dating their senior year of high school and have been together ever since. They had a long-distance relationship through much of college and for some time after they graduated, but now they are both staying in Virginia Beach with their sweet dog, Penny. Penny makes a guest appearance in some of these photos later on, so make sure you keep scrolling to catch a glimpse of that cutie!
With aquamarine accents and bright florals, this was a gorgeous wedding. I loved some of the pink blooms still on the Signature at Westneck’s azalea bushes and all the bright, beautiful flowers from Fluttering Flowers. They always do such a perfect job and Kate’s bouquet is just stunning. Their special ceremony included a tree that both Kate & Tyler watered to symbolize their union, which I thought was such a unique touch. For their first dance, Kate & Tyler surprised everyone with an amazing choreographed dance!
